Dirty laundry

Some days
you just have to put it all out there,
hang it out to dry,
and hope you didn't let it sit
damp
in the washer for too long;
that it doesn't smell,
or,
if it does,
the sun and the fresh air
will dry it out,
impart a fresh new scent.
