I gave it little thought,
and then drove back
to my home away from home
without really seeing
until a patch of light upon a tree
cried "Made you look!"
and suddenly the road ahead
said everything I'd ever
needed to hear, breathing
your song into my eyes
until my heart and yours
beat as one.
