Grounded in Love

However much we find ourselves
-- in families and communities --
bumping up against
our failures and our imperfections
(both yours and mine
are sometimes problematic)
there is a chance
we could step back
and see that through it all
there flows the dance of light and stars:
moments of grace
or ambiguity
that could lead to giant leaps of faith
to take us high above this earth-bound condemnation;
help us soar above the separated life
into a heavenly unity
even as we remain
grounded for life
grounded in life
grounded in Love.
