
it's always possible
that someone might mistake
this mountain for a molehill --
given that there are so many holes
one might assume they are burrows,
and that at any moment
some blind creature might pop up,
some long-repressed
aspect of your personality
might suddenly find its voice
and squeak--
tread lightly, then, and listen;
be careful where you step
and do not speak until you're sure
just who it is that's speaking.
